Our client is an US MNC in the sustainability field of business. They are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Regional Counsel to join their legal team in Singapore. The role will provide strategic legal support across business functions, particularly in the APAC region, addressing commercial and compliance issues in multi-jurisdictional settings.
Responsibilities include analysing, drafting, and negotiating commercial sales contracts, managing the company’s patent portfolio, advising on commercial activities, identify and mitigating legal risks, manage and provide counsel on disputes and litigations, and implementing legal and compliance programs. The candidate will also be required to work closely with internal clients and outside counsel, build effective relationships with key business partners, and work closely with business leaders across functional areas in commercial, operations, finance, HR, and other internal teams to ensure that legal considerations are integrated into key business decisions.
The ideal candidate should have a law degree, be called to the Bars, and have at least 6 years of PQE in both law firm and in-house environments. Strong negotiation, drafting, and analytical skills are essential, as well as experience engaging with senior executives and business leaders. The candidate should be proactive, organized, and able to work effectively in both individual and team settings.
